Background:  I grew up in Saegertown, PA and attended Saegertown Central School.  I went to college at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH, where I majored in Computer Information Systems.  After graduating from there and realizing that sitting behind a desk forever wasn't for me, I obtained my Masters of Science in Teaching degree at SUNY Potsdam.

Teaching Career:  I started my teaching career at Edmeston Central School as a Teaching Assistant for one year.  I then received a teaching position at Milford Central School as a special education teacher in middle school.  After teaching at Milford for one year, a job opened back up at Edmeston as a high school special education teacher and I am entering my 14th year teaching.

Family: I am married and have two wonderful sons.  My parents were both educators and my sister is also a special education teacher in Ohio.
